ThedirectorEvaldSchorm(1929-1988)wasoneofthemostoriginalmembersoftheCzechNewWave.Duringthenormalizationera,Schormspentmanyyearsunabletodirect.Hislastfilm,KillingwithKindness(1988)wasonlymadeinthetwilightyearsofCommunism.Duringthatperiodwhenhewasunabletodirectfilms,hebecameanoutstandingstagedirector.HedirectedgroundbreakingproductionsattheNazábradlíTheaterandLaternaMagika.
